Financial Aid

Financial aid, in the form of loans, is available to graduate students at Robert Morris University. The federal Stafford loan can provide annually up to $20,500 for full-time enrollment to eligible students. To determine eligibility, the filing of a Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) at www.fafsa.ed.gov is required. Robert Morris University’s title IV code is 003359.

The Stafford loan can be subsidized or unsubsidized based on the FAFSA need analysis. The subsidized Stafford is a need based loan that does not accrue interest while the student is enrolled at least half time. The maximum amount a graduate student may borrow in an academic year is $8,500. The unsubsidized Stafford loan in not based on need and is available to students that have received the maximum subsidized eligibility or are ineligible for any subsidized Stafford loan. The borrower of an unsubsidized Stafford loan is responsible for interest; interest accrual begins at the time of disbursement.

Graduate PLUS loans and alternative loans are also available if additional funds are needed.
